With the Audi RS 3 performance edition, Audi Sport GmbH introduced the flagship model of the RS 3 range of its time. Limited to just 300 vehicles worldwide, this special edition was offered in both Sportback and Sedan body styles.
Thanks to its uprated five-cylinder engine, the performance edition achieved a top speed of 186 mph, setting new standards in the compact high-performance segment and reinforcing its position as the most powerful and exclusive version of the RS 3 family.
To maximize driving dynamics, the special model came standard with an RS sport suspension featuring adaptive damper control. Sensors continuously monitor road conditions and vehicle movements, adjusting the damping force of each wheel within milliseconds to suit the driving situation. The suspension is complemented by high-performance tires mounted on exclusive 19-inch motorsport-inspired alloy wheels, as well as a highly durable ceramic braking system with blue-painted brake calipers.
Visually, the RS 3 performance edition clearly distinguishes itself from the regular production models. Black Audi rings, black RS badges, and numerous exclusive details emphasize its special status. The Matrix LED headlights and LED taillights feature unique light animations: when the vehicle is unlocked, a checkered flag and the number “300” appear as a reference to the limited production run and its 300 km/h top speed.
Inside, standard RS bucket seats, blue contrast stitching, blue seat belts, and premium materials underline the car’s sporting character. The flat-bottom steering wheel features a blue 12 o’clock marker to aid orientation during dynamic driving. Exclusive displays in the digital cockpit provide performance-related information such as acceleration figures, lap times, and g-forces. A carbon trim panel bearing the inscription “1 of 300” serves as a reminder of the model’s strict production limit.
